Welcome to the official website of Open Arms Residential Services, LLC! We are licensed under the department of social services to provide care to females aged 14-21 in preparation for independent living.  We are located in the west end of Henrico County.  We provide an array of services with an emphasis on job training and development.  We provide a positive and nurturing environment, equipping young women with the skills necessary to transition to a healthy, productive lifestyle. We strive to produce self-sufficient young women who are better people as a result of participating in our program.  We provide education with a hands-on approach to cope with the many adversities that these at-risk young women encounter.   Our program utilizes the Ansell Casey Life Skills Assessment to develop individualized learning plans to teach independent living skills.    Currently there is an identified need to service these young women with quality, goal-oriented programs designed to help them reach their maximum potential in life.  There are many programs that often warehouse these young women; meaning the program provides adequate shelter, yet fails to successfully execute programs that consistently and strategically meet the needs of these young women in the foster care system.  Open Arms stands out from the competition because of the desire that the program developer and staff have to conquer and genuinely service the adversities faced by the clients served in our program.  Our Life Matters portion of the program is the foundation to successfully achieving the program and individual goals of the clients served by intertwining self-development with the Ansell Casey Life Skills Program.   Furthermore each resident is assigned a life skills coach four months prior to discharge and remains with the resident for one year after resident is discharged.
